Moncrieff

This is a small N gauge layout that although it is only about 110cm x 80cm, it is still packed with loads of lovely detailing. It was built by Keir Jummun with assistance from other club members, all keen to help our youngest member at the time (about 13 years old) to build his first layout. Keir was inspired to join us following visits to Model Rail Scotland so that he could meet up with other model railway enthusiasts and build his own layout. This is a fictional design based on a smaller station just outside of Perth near the area he used to visit his grandmother who lived in Moncrieff, these visits involved a lot of local trainspotting and the Perth area obviously became his favourite location for this. Now at 19 Keir has moved his layout to our new clubrooms and is looking forward to smartening it up, this will begin with minor repairs to some damage that happened during transit to the club and the addition of some signals. Keir has not ruled out further upgrades once he thinks of what to do next, keep tuned in to follow progress on this fantastic layout…
