ModelRail Scotland 2026

The club will be exhibiting a brand new OO gauge layout ‘Blackbury Junction’. The layout features a mainline station serving a small town. The station contains a junction for a branchline, a motive power depot and goods facilities. It is set in the 1960s transition era and is a fictional location close to the Scottish border. It is operated using DCC and many of the locomotives and units will feature sound. Photos of the layout will be posted here soon.

Cathcart Model Railway Exhibition

We exhibited Michael Stokoe’s layout ‘Glenkiln Road’ at the exhibition. The OO gauge layout is of an LMS branch set in southern Scotland in the mid 1930s. It is highly detailed and has a great variety of features including the terminus station, engine shed, rail-served wood yard, a hamlet and two large railway bridges.

OO Gauge "Glenkiln Road"

We will be exhibiting a medium sized version of Michael Stokoe’s OO gauge layout “Glenkiln Road” in the Morningside area of Edinburgh on the 1st and 2nd June (10am to 5pm both days). The exhibition is organised by the Edinburgh and Lothians Miniature Railway Club
