Lockerbie - OO Gauge - James Cochrane and Andrew Campbell (electronics wizz)

The layout is a rendition of Lockerbie station set in the early 2010s Virgin Trains and Trans Pennine Express era, along with much freight activity. It is DCC controlled with iTrains software running on a Windows laptop interfaced with Digirails electronics to operate mainline (and fiddle yard) points and signals. All locos and units on the layout feature sound and there are also automatic station announcements.

The layout won second place for best AMRSS club layout at ModelRail 2023 and featured as Railway of the Month in the Railway Modeller magazine at the same time.

With our move to larger premises the layout will be on show most of time.
